Rasmus Hojlund of Manchester United will have a new jersey number for the 2024–2025 campaign.
Hojlund’s first season at Old Trafford was spent wearing No. 11.
The United Stand claims that the Danish international will now wear the No. 9 jersey, which Anthony Martial wore the previous season.
Martial’s contract expired, so he left the team.
Now that Hojlund has donned the No. 9 shirt, he will be following in the footsteps of United greats like Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Dimitar Berbatov, Andy Cole, and Sir Bobby Charlton.
With Hojlund receiving a new number, Joshua Zirkzee, the most recent addition, is anticipated to take over the No. 11 jersey. When he played for Dutch youth teams, he had previously worn the numbers 9, 10, and 11.
